At Dry Aged Steak Co we strongly believe it is important to contribute in helping and supporting our environment where we can. With this in mind, we have carefully taken our time to source an eco-friendly temperature-controlled packaging solution, ensuring most of the materials used are recyclable or biodegradable. Steak box liners are filled with 100% biodegradable sheep’s wool, a natural insulator that is far more effective at keeping produce at the correct temperature. The insulation in our liners and pouches is 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable. These liners are inserted into our range of cardboard boxes, your products are then carefully packed with two of our Ice Packs that are re-usable and wood wool infill, ensuring that your unopened parcel is kept fresh and safely chilled at the correct temperature for over 48 hours.

How we package your delivery when you order

Your order will arrive in a cool box, complete with two ice packs, inside a wool lining within a cardboard box. Our biggest concern when shipping your order is ensuring it arrives safe and sound. We use tried and tested packaging that has been comprehensively tested to ensure your order arrives cool, ready for cooking within 48 hours or popping in the freezer.

We are on a mission to reduce the use of plastic. Our packaging is 100% bio-degradable and our packaging and ice packs are also re-usable.

So, just how will your Dry Aged Steak Co box arrive?

All of our steaks are cut fresh and packed to order by our butchers in Pocklington, just for you.

When you receive your order from Dry Aged Steak Co, it will arrive in one of our cardboard boxes, which is 100% biodegradable. Once you open your Steak box you will find a cool jacket made from lambs wool these are extremely versatile and have a multitude of usages and are also 100% Biodegradable.

All of the boxes we send out need to maintain a food safe chilled temperature, to do this you will receive 2 x 500g ice packs within your Steak box. These are totally food safe and again have a multitude of usages as detailed below. To dispose, simply drain the liquid into the bin, and pop the plastic into recycling or alternatively you can re-freeze.

We could vacuum pack almost everything we supply, but this would not be helpful to our environment. We wrap our steaks in a special ‘meat saver’ paper that protects the steak from loosing colour, flavour and tenderness. We then place in a biodegradable sealed fresh bag.

On the outside of every packet which you receive, you will also find details of the product, your specific butcher who cut your order, the use by date and any allergens. Full details of all the ingredients and allergens can be found on our website on the specific product pages.
